Recruitment to join IFA Paris takes place on a rolling basis. Applications generally open in October. If you’d like to join our fashion school, don’t delay! As the year progresses, the number of places becomes increasingly limited.
If the student is not admitted to IFA Paris, he cannot reapply the same year. However, the student can try again the following year by submitting an application.
To prepare for your interview, think about your career plans and why you want to work in the fashion industry. During the interview, don’t hesitate to bring along your personal projects (sketches, completed garments, etc.), which you can use to explain your project in greater detail.
The purpose of the interview is to get to know you, your motivation for joining our fashion school and your career goals, as well as your academic background, past experience in related fields and sources of inspiration.
IFA Paris is open to candidates from all high school diplomas and specializations. Each year, we welcome and select students from various fields and options: general high school diplomas, technological, etc. But also from vocational fields. More than just a curriculum, IFA Paris pays particular attention to the professional project and the motivation to join our fashion school.
If you’re a senior in high school and joining one of our Bachelor’s programs in Fashion Design or Fashion Business in the fall, you can start your online application and provide your high school certificate as soon as you receive it. It’s important to start your online application as soon as possible to guarantee your place.
If you can’t come in person to a face-to-face interview, we organize a video call online. IFA Paris welcomes students from all over the world and takes time differences into account.
For all our programs taught in English, we ask students to provide proof of a sufficient level of English in the form of IELTS or TOEFL (please indicate scores).
Admission to our fashion school varies according to the level of study:
– If the student is enrolling in 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th year, admissions are based on a portfolio, tests and an interview on motivation and career plans.
– If the student is enrolling in 1st year, admissions are based on an application and an oral interview.
IFA Paris has a powerful network of alumni and current students who will be delighted to share their experiences of studying fashion. A good way to meet the school’s alumni is to attend an open house. This is a great opportunity to talk to IFA Paris graduates about their experiences and career paths since graduation!
